We're Back!
Welcome to the official website of the Professional Longboard Association. It's been a while, but we are finally back, and the second time around promises to be even better than the first. With the increasing interest in longboarding and the lack of quality surfing events for those longboard surfers, the PLA is dedicated and committed to creating an elite surfing association, with world-class competition, all while providing an atmosphere that focuses on the joy and experience of surfing.
The PLA, owned and operated by Jack and Jim Flynn, is a Professional Longboarding Series, allowing longboard professionals to showcase their talent against other elite surfers. The level of competition promises to be exciting and entertaining as the PLA will help qualify surfers for the World Longboard Championships.
Although the PLA is classified and labeled as a Professional Men's and Women's series, we do cater to the amateur as well. Our amateur divisions are categorized for both men and women and include the following divisions:
- 18 and under
- 19-29 Years of Age
- 30-39 Years of Age
- 40 and Over
